Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

By the signing of this contract along with the paying of a deposit, you will be agreeing to these terms and conditions. I understand that sometimes your requirements may change, and I will do my upmost to accommodate the changes you wish to make.

I will work with you to try and secure a suitable date for you to have your trial, however most trials take place around events.

A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 50% of the total price is required when the booking is confirmed. This can either be paid by Bank Transfer or Cash. A receipt of payment can be provided on request. The final balance is due no later than 14 days before your wedding date.

Once the deposit has been paid the wedding date will be secured. The deposit is non-refundable in any circumstance including cancellation of the wedding. If the date of your wedding is changed to a date we cannot cater for, your deposit will not be refunded.

Unforeseen Delays

Should I experience unforeseen travel delays which are beyond my control resulting in one or more services being forfeited, I am unable to issue refunds.

No compensation will be offered if timings overrun because of this. If you are aware of any factors which could delay or hinder our journey, such as diversions, road closures, speed restrictions, match days, market days, satnav etc. please advise me as soon as possible so I can factor this into my route.

Should a change of getting ready address/venue be necessary during the wedding morning preparations (e.g. if the wedding venue does not allow an early enough arrival time) myself or assistants, cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by traffic, road closures, accidents, parking issues during transfer and arrival to the second getting ready address. I also cannot be held accountable for any pre prepared hair that is damaged or spoilt due to adverse weather conditions. The amount of time I may have left to rectify any such problems will impact my planned timings on arrival at the second venue, and I will only be able to do my very best under these circumstances. I strongly advise that great care is taken in wet, windy, or excessively hot weather conditions. Even car windows open in a hot weather can have an adverse effect on hair that has been prepped or finished.

No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. Please ensure your bridal party or guests are aware of timings I give you for their arrival. They will need to be available at their allocated times and if late, I reserve the right to cancel their services so as not to disrupt the rest of the wedding morning time schedule. Please ensure every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and where they need to be, and to remain available at all times. I operate in a calm and professional manner and lateness by any of your bridesmaids/guests can seriously upset the ambience of the morning. If you suspect any member of your bridal party may be difficult in any way, please encourage them to book a trial session which will avoid any potential problems on the day which may cause delays and disruption.

Client obligations on the wedding day

Please ensure there is a suitable, cleared, working area with preferably natural lighting, electricity points and that hand washing facilities are available.

You are required to inform me of any allergies or sensitivities prior to hair styling, or any adverse reactions to products I may have used during trial sessions. I cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party.

Before having hair styled please ensure you and your party are prepared, to avoid leaving the chair whilst I am working. For me, timing is crucial to ensure a relaxed wedding morning for the Bride and time can be wasted unnecessarily by continuous interruptions.

Please do not sit children/babies on your lap whilst having your hair styled – unless under certain circumstance e.g. breastfeeding. For their own safety, please ensure that children are always kept away from our styling tools and products. Styling tools can be extremely hot, and hazardous, and I cannot be held responsible if a child is injured because of the parent or carer not being fully in control of a child.

Hair must not be washed on the wedding morning unless stylist has advised this. Please also ensure ALL the bridal party have thoroughly washed and dried their hair the night before the wedding, (unless hair is short and being blow dried). If any areas of the scalp are not shampooed and rinsed carefully (particularly at the nape of the neck), this can have an adverse impact on dry styling methods and the results needed to prep the hair properly for styling, which could then affect the finished style and my ability to produce my best work for you, or any member of your party.

I will need to be informed in advance at the trial session if hair extensions are to be used or required by any member of the bridal party. Please note, I will only work with 100% real hair extensions. Please do not over condition hair or use any straighteners; light conditioner on the ends is fine but oils and heavy styling products should not be used at all. I will bring all the styling products I need that produce great results I can rely on.

Please ensure after styling, members of the bridal party do not venture into adverse weather conditions unnecessarily and that small children are discouraged from running and jumping. Once styling is completed, any dressing gowns, jumpers or jackets with collars should be avoided or worn with extreme care to avoid moving any hair that has been pinned into place or long hair being caught and squashed beneath.

Products and responsibility of the client Prior to the trial

It is the responsibility of the client to inform the hair stylist of any known sensitivity, allergy or any concerns regarding medication that may cause a contraindication to any products. All details are treated as confidential. Where possible, the hair stylist will choose products that should suit you according to the information provided. Everyone is different, and it is possible to be allergic to anything at any time in your life. The products selected and agreed upon during the trial or consultation will be the products that will be used on the day of your wedding. The hair stylist is not liable for any adverse reactions to products used and cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to adverse reactions to products used. If the client or party requires a patch test for any products, this can be arranged and charged according to the agreed fee.

Cancellation charges

In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your booking, the following charges will apply:

  • If the cancellation is made 2 weeks (or less) before your booking date, the total booking cost must still be paid.
  • If the cancellation is made between 2-4 weeks before your booking date, 50% of the outstanding balance is required.
  • Deposits will not be refunded on any cancellation.

Cancellations by Desire Hair, due to circumstances out of my control for example, weather conditions, personal safety, unreasonable access e.g. lack of parking within a reasonable radius with no warning, your deposit will not be refunded.

In the event of extreme weather conditions, where a ‘Red’ warning has been issued and my safety would be jeopardized if travelling, I reserve the right to cancel your booking.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of Desire Hair including but not limited to the reasons mentioned above, where possible Desire Hair will endeavour to rectify such situations, however, no compensation will be offered on Desire Hair part. It is strongly advised that you take out wedding or event insurance to cover you against these situations.

On the wedding day, if myself, or any member of my team is made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, mistreated, or if any member of your bridal party becomes abusive/violent/disrespectful or displays any other offensive behaviour, I have the right to cancel the contract and leave the premises without refund.
